We have created this lovely ride for you to see the amazing variety of scenery in the largely unknown part of the Western Algarve..

Day One - You will set off from QPA south west over rolling hills and green valleys towards the ancient smuggling village of Vila da Bispo, where you will have lunch..From there the route takes you towards the dramatic cliffs of the Algarve’s west coast to the picturesque village of Carrapeteira, where you will have your first night and the opportunity to enjoy a dinner of magnificent local fish and wine! coast.

Day Two - You will have an exhilarating canter along one of the pristine sandy beaches which intersperse the craggy coastline before heading northwards along this stunning coastline. After a leisurely snack and a drink you will skirt the historic old Moorish town of Aljezur with its hilltop castle, on your way to the attractive Quinta Verde, perched on the side of a hill, where you and the horses, will spend the night..

Day Three - Will allow you to have a final ride around this beautiful coastal countryside town down to the stunning beach of Praia da Amoreira. After an early lunch the scenery dramatically changes as you head up one of the deep rugged valleys, along cool streams, climbing up the western flanks of the Serra de Monchique towards the ridgetop village of Marmelete, before spending the night in Monchique the Algarves highest town..

Day Four - Starts with a ride southwards down a ridge with stunning views towards the distant south coast before skirting the placid, tree lined waters of the beautiful Barragem da Bravura, with lunch at a typical local ‘pub’ and then on back to QPA for a well earned drink by the pool!

Accommodation each night is comfortable but not luxurious. The horses are all fit and used to the local terrain and your guides are experienced and well acquainted with the local countryside.

Cost for the above €480 not including evening meals. Earlier arrival can be arranged for some pre ride orientation. A minimum of 4 riders.
